Pure Glenorchy Scenic Lord of the Rings Tours Queenstown
I was afraid this was going to be hokey, but it was fabulous. I took the 8 am tour (on a winter Monday), and the sunrise hitting the mountain tops was worth the trip alone. Shane was a lively and engaging guide with lots of LOTR trivia about making the film. It’s a beautiful trip either way, but seeing that the setting for the movie was not some kind of artificial special effect but a real landscape was really special - enhancing both. Wonderful and fun!

Amazing tour for fan of the lord of the ring.Francesco our guide was really interesting and clear (make it easy to translate in live for my mum). Lots of insight of LOTR but as well about the area and people.We had an afternoon tea as well.The bus is comfy but not a lot of room leg for tall people (1.80m and above)

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to NZ! Our guide, Joel, was extremely knowledgeable, in addition to being funny and engaging. My husband (who is not a huge LOTR fan), also enjoyed the trip as the sights are simply stunning. We had tea in Isengard, which was such an incredible experience. I have been planning this trip to NZ for about 20 years, and this tour was just unbelievably awesome. A must-do for sure!!

5-stars, hands down! My husband and I both had a great time on this tour! Our guide Dan was very knowledgeable of the area we toured, scenes from the LOTR, and sharing info about other movies filmed in the Queenstown area. The scenery we saw along the way was absolutely gorgeous! I highly recommend going on this tour if you like LOTR or if you’d like to see more beautiful views in New Zealand!

We had a great time with our tour guide Dan. He was really enthusiastic about the movies, with plenty of cool facts and anecdotes to share. There were a few neat locations that we visited on our travels, and the scenic views were spectacular. Highly recommended for any Lord of the Rings fan.

What a cool tour! Francesco was a great guide with loads of nerd LOTR knowledge. He put on the soundtrack in the van which was cool to create and atmosphere. All stops were interesting and very scenic. Second breakfast in Glenorchy was yummy and with a beautiful lake view. Highlight were the costumes and real replica swords! Grat experience

Absolutely incredible tour of some of the Lord of the Rings filming locations. Joel was absolutely brilliant. Great knowledge, energy and enthusiasm. Must do tour if you’re in the area, whether you like the films or not.

Incredible trip with fantastic guide!We did the half day LOTR tour to Glenorchy today with my nephew. What a fantastic guide Amanda was. Such a great story teller and the most stunning scenery. It was also amazing being able to go onto Arcadia Station, where Pure Glenorchy have exclusive rights. No wonder they're the number 1 LORT Tour company in Queenstown. Thanks, guys!

Great tour well worth doing. Our host was extremely knowledgeable about LOTR and the Hobbit books and movies, as well as the local history. The views and vista's to Glenorchy were amazing and to match them up to scenes from the movies easy to see. A must if you are in Queenstown.
