Domaine-Thomson Wines Cellar Door
We loved our visit to this new tasting room - easily one of our favourites in the region! They are a certified organic vineyard offering an array of high quality pinot noirs at a very reasonable price. Our host was very friendly and knowledgeable, and shared with us some of the rich history of their winery. They've also created a beautiful space, with a wonderful view overlooking the vineyards. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through the area!

A fantastic experience!A great selection of wines in a charming setting. The building itself has architectural personality and a cosy interior.The afternoon was made by Hillary, the hostess who met us at the cellar door. She had a wealth of knowledge on the winery, its produce and the history of Central Otago.

Domaine-Thomson Wines Cellar Door
So worth the drive out to Cromwell to visit this stunning Winery, which we did on a Tuesday in Feb. Elegant decor, with the most interestingly fabulous floor under your wine tasting feet! The wines are also elegant, including divine French. Our hostess was full of smiles and knowledge. She made us feel so welcome. Lovely views. Bought a few of their wines. One of them a 10 yr old Chardonnay we opened back in Queenstown whilst sitting on our hotel balcony overlooking the lake on a beautiful afternoon. It dosen't get any better than that!

The sommelier we had made it 5 stars. She was so knowledgeable, answering our many questions about the business and wine. This winery has so much history and it's interior design very intentional. The setting was also just beautiful.There is a short gravel hill to drive onto, just take it slow if you're less comfy with gravel.

We arranged a tasting for 10, with platters of food and it was perfect. Claudio is a great host, and so knowledgeable about the wines and really all the wines in the area, the view and setting is stunning, and the wines and the platters were top notch. thanks for a fantastic afternoon!
