Flight Experience Christchurch

My wife bought me a gift voucher to fly in the 737-800 flight simulator and wow what a fun experience. The simulator is used by actual pilots to train in various flight scenarios so it’s about as real as it gets. You can fly anywhere in the world and the views and scenery are dynamically changing so every flight is different. My instructor was Mike Pero and he is super knowledgeable being a former commercial pilot and really gives you great information and instruction on how to fly the plane. You spend a good amount of time on the flight yoke and it’s a very realistic. My wife tagged along and she sat in the cockpit with us enjoying the views. We flew around Christchurch city before landing in foggy conditions. Awesome experience and highly recommended!

Great service from going inside, learning to use the simulator, flying it. The pilot shows you how to take off Christchurch Airport. With taxiing, lining up to the middle of the runway, using the foot pedals and steering! Best part is flying over the beautiful city we live in. Would recommend to any age and if you’re new to flying or a retired pilot. Great experience and amazing simulator.

I was there this morning for a 30 minute flight and what a great experience. I was first met by Hans my instructor who immediately put me at ease. He went through everything I needed to in a very easy manner which made it easy to learn. Now some hours later I’m still smiling not only from the experience but the hospitality as well. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Except to to say I will be back for longer next time.

Fantastic experience! I walked in without prior knowledge or expectation, but was absolutely blown away. The experience is authentic - motion sickness or falling off your chair is very real while being totally engaged with controlling a 737 boeing. thanks guys

I bought the flight experience for my son's birthday because I wanted to foster his passion for aviation. I'm delighted to say that the flight experience was a massive hit. It was very real and our pilot was very engaging. I will definitely be recommending the Christchurch Flight Experience to friends and family.

Amazing service, everyone is so friendly when you walk in! Lovely motorcycle gallery in the same building as the flight experience. When in the sim you are taught what everything does and how to fly the aircraft, fun flying. Would definitely recommend coming here. 5/5 stars all around here from me! :)

Amazing experience for my plane loving 9yr old son. Peter was an outstanding instructor and genuine top bloke. Keen to do it again one day.
