Great Taste Restaurant
Gone downhill since I was last there.Banana cake, icecream machine, soups, sushi, all fresh salads, fruits, all gone. Only had about 8 chinese food options in warming trays, and a couple of other trays with chips and meat balls.Very disappointing.The waiter was polite and friendly though.

Great Taste Restaurant
This place has gone from being a great buffet dinner to a run down second class restaurant. Variety of dishes so limited its a joke. Presentation is shocking. Quality of food shocking. No desert. No salad. Then they have the cheek to charge 2.5% surcharge if you use a credit card!! Avoid at all cost.

Such a disappointment. This place used to be a favourite for my kids to dine. Now it is overpriced and a great place to avoid.$22 for adult, $17 for 11yo, $15 for 9yo. Children used to be charged the same price as their age which seemed fair.There are signs indicating that if you serve yourself too much from the buffet and do not finish your food you could be charged an additional $10 for food wastage. This seems very odd.There is now no salad bar or dessert, and food choices are limited to food that is stir fried or deep fried; pretty much all Chinese food…not the menu that used to be offered (no spaghetti bolognaise, very few vegetables in anything). Maybe this place has changed hands??The decor was thoroughly depressing and not all dishes on the menu we were shown, were available.

I seldom write reviews here but I must do it this time.Great Taste is totally underrated and indeed it is a gem in town. $13 for a buffet lunch with free tea. The food is of course nothing fancy but is practical enough. As a HK Chinese, I know what Chinese food is.Two dishes of vegetables with meat, two dishes of fried chicken (two ways of cooking), fried wontons, fish & chips, spring rolls, chicken nuggets, two different sauces (sweet & sour included) and two types of soup (corn & miso). Fried rice and fried noodles are there too.The environment is nice too, clean and big. Instead of Chinese songs, they played relaxing English songs and that made my dinning experience very enjoyable.Staff is friendly and I saw a waiter (the boss?) bring a dish of vegetables (directly from the kitchen) to a customer as there weren’t a lot available on the buffet table).I went to a noodle shop another day and it was $21 (one bowl of noodle & a pot of small tea). That ‘s why I went to Great Taste again before I head to my next stop.They don’t serve salad and dessert anymore but it is not a big deal vindy they charge $13 only.

Extremely reduced dinner range. Both the desert bar and salad bar is gone. Watching a stream of disappointed faces after they have paid.One small Bain of hot food for the entire restaurant, under cooked batter one many items and constantly emptying out and customers standing around having to wait for food to come out.Certainly not worth the $120 I spent for the family. Unfortunately it's no where near the experience it used to be.

Great Taste Restaurant
Dropped by for dinner ($22 buffet) and the food was tasty and plentiful. The chef was friendly and came to our table to discuss the food. I think this is a bargain dinner in a very nice environment. The $13 lunch is fantastic value. The fish and roast potatoes were very nice and the vegetables fresh and crisp. Recommended.

Great Taste Restaurant
Very little selection of food, no dessert, fresh fruit or salad. Almost empty the whole time we were there. Kids used to love it but definitely won't be back

Excellent deal for a budget buffet of below $20. Good ambience. Friendly staff.
