Turned up the other day to get a WOF and they had a sign to say they had closed early due to staff shortages. Then when I went back today I was informed they had stopped doing WOFs today due to hitting their quota despite being open and no one else in line. Disappointing to say the least. If your business is to do WOFs on cars then do WOFs otherwise there is no point in being a business.

Ok to go for a WOF if you need one quickly and can manage extra cost, $76. My one major disappointment is they do not accept cash! Even though it's legal tender they will refuse customers cash. If you support a cashless society then go to these guys.

clearly not impressed with this place, the lady at reception cannot handle stress or working under pressure and was visibly flustered when managing a simple task, and talked to customers like schoolchildren. im not sure weather or not its due to toxic management or the so called staff shortages" or a combination of both but as its the only place in upper hutt to deregister your car i had no choice. the lady needs to calm down or simply go to another job"

I took my car there for re-assessment after a repair. They failed me for a seemingly made up reason. I had to get the mechanic that did the repair to take the car in again and they passed it straight away. Wasted my time and his! Avoid, power trippers!

Ask people to wait for an hour or more (which is fine) but provide no water for long waiting times.

Super impressed! Went in last Thursday for a rego for another vehicle, and happened to enquire about the safety check they offered. Explained to the office staff I’ve had issues with a noise for 18 months and no one could pick it up, yet vehicle has up to date WOF, been to multiple mechanics but issue never appeared when up on hoists. Dave kindly offered to put it over the pit and shaker plate, fault diagnosed within 5 mins and parts replaced over the weekend, feels like a whole new car and I’m just stoked! Thank you so much team!!

Drove past today around 4pm, closing at 5pm gave myself an hour to get a warrant of fitness. No one in line, but a sign out stating that they were not taking any more customers, staff shortages.This is the second time I have attempted to get a warrant in the past week from this VTNZ with no luck. What a joke, sort your staffing issues out.I will not be coming back to VTNZ and we will no longer be brining our company fleet vehicles here either. Time to find a new Warrant place.
