Only free car park overnight for NSC. Pretty cool spot, in front of the beach, 2 flush toilets cleaned every day, full of rubbish bins and fresh water. ONLY 8 SPOTS and 2 NIGHTS. Around 7.30pm a security guy checks all cars and plate numbers. You will find some people parking and walking around, some of them a little bit rear but is all good, they just want to have a chat. (It should be prohibited for SC as they have a much bigger spot 5 blocks ahead)

Beautiful spot right on the beach front. Clean basic toilets. Busy but quiet. The odd loud car passing and a train during the night but no complaints. Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful sunrise!

Nice place to overnight. Quieter than other sites as no facilities.

Just staying for the night , I think . So loving Napier and the fantastic weather we are having. Got clean toilets and rubbish bins and parking for 6 motorhomes even though it says 8 , they would have to be no longer than 6mtrs to fit 8 .

As you can see in the attached picture, there are 4 parking spots which can be used for overnight camping for non self contained vehicles on the sea side. I had a very negative experience on the first day when I arrived and when I was parking in one of these spots. Locals with large motorhomes literally drove me off the designated parking spot by aggressively driving close against my vehicle. Then they claimed that these parking spots are only for motorhomes and that I had to go somewhere else. I knew this was not true but I didn't feel like having a confrontation and just left. Then they basically claimed all the overnight spots with their two rediculously large motorhomes. Very unfortunate. I'm happy council is providing camping opportunities for non self contained vehicles, just so unfortunate that locals in motorhomes need to ruin this for us.

It's great to find parks for non self contained vehicles. As others have said, it's a shame the self contained busses feel the can take up 2 spaces (when they can fit in one)

Easy access. Clean toilet and there are two garbage cans. No towels or anything in the toilet to dry your hands. I didn't see a dump station. Quite a few worker trucks and workers (3) came by at 7 am. That wasn't too bad. Then some people walking their dog came at 7 am and were talking very loudly and doing lots of things (opening and closing their car door about 5 times). Definitely not able to sleep past that. The view of the ocean and the sunrise was beautiful in the morning.

Right on the beach. 2 toilets, they are really clean. The beach is black stones, it's beautiful. The trees that have been washed up, I imagine from the cyclone is crazy
