Re:Vision Laser & Cataract

After 10 years of wearing contacts/glasses, I finally bit the bullet and decided it was time to do something about it!I can’t believe how seamless the whole process was with re: vision, right from the consultation through to the surgery.I had really hyped myself up for the lasik procedure, but I needn’t have worried. The procedure was completely painless, thanks to the numbing drops!! Dr Trevor Gray reassured me through each step and kept me informed about what was happening. Kyomi even held my hand throughout the procedure - it’s the little touches that really make it. What a beautiful calming space they have created. Within less than 24 hours I was already seeing better than 20/20. I had a Wavefront Guided-Smart Surface PRK surgery on 16th December 2022. Please read about my life changing experience!! I always had terrible eyesight. Over the last month I had really gotten tired of the daily chore of cleaning my contacts twice a day, the irritation that comes with wearing contacts and having your child fling your glasses half way across the room (you guys know what I mean). I am now 25 and years old, and so have been fumbling with contact lenses and glasses for over a decade. I had always been ashamed of my terrible my eyesight (-6.00 in my left eye and -7.00 or so in my right), and felt like it had held me back from a lot in life. A friend of mine recommended ReVision to me and told me to go in for a free consultation and see what comes of it. I met with Dr. Nick who was super lovely and completed some tests on me to see if my eyes were suitable. Dr. Nick was super informative throughout the whole process and ensured I knew all my options before making any kind of decision. He told me that my eyes were suitable for lasik and that they would definitely benefit my lifestyle (mum, active, working nurse, etc). He answered all my questions and made me feel very reassured about going ahead with the procedure, he showed me some helpful videos too about what to expect with the lasik procedure. On my morning of the procedure I was very nervous, I was greeted by the lovely Ninia who checked me in, and had a super calming manner about her that put my nerves at ease, she ensured I was appropriately prepped for my procedure, and gave me some numbing drops for my eyes. Before it was my turn to go in I was able to lie on a super comfy lazy boy chair and listened to some Spotify which really helped keep me calm. Once it was my turn, I was greeted by the lovely Kyomi who led me to the operating table and made sure I was correctly positioned. Kyomi held my hand throughout and I can't thank you enough for that Kyomi!!! I was also greeted by Dr. Trevor and the lovely scrub nurse. Throughout the procedure Dr. Trevor kept talking to me in his calm and reassuring voice, regularly keeping me updated with what he was doing and reminding me that I was doing great. I can honestly say that the procedure was completely painless. You only feel a slight bit pressure at the start of each eye but no pain at all. In no time at all I was finished, I sat up off the bed and could instantly see so much better. I felt then like the burden of contact lenses and glasses were instantly lifted off my shoulders. I was then greeted in the post op area with some lovely refreshments that the reception staff prepared for me, an ice-cream, juice, and crisps. I really felt like I was well taken care of throughout the whole procedure and greatly recommend lasik at ReVision to anyone who is thinking of having it done!Thank you to the amazing team at ReVision, Dr. Trevor, Dr. Nick, Kyomi, Ninia, & the kind reception staff! Fantastic customer service. The staff were pleasant; welcoming and informative - nothing was a bother. Dr Simon Dean exuded confidence with his recommendations and had the ability to make everything very clear - no pun intended. Everything from the consultation to the operation were first class. If you’re thinking about lasik, my advise is do it and do it at re:vision!! I had lasik six weeks ago and probably has been one of the best decisions of my life. My eyesight was so bad that I did not even know how I looked without glasses as I’ve been wearing them since forever.The team at re: vision have been the absolute best, since the very beginning at the first appointment, to the day of the procedure, we’re they looked after me showing both excellence in the field and compassion, and now still, for the follow up checks. I was quite nervous on the day, but felt very reassured throughout by doctor Gray and his amazing team. Will always be grateful to them.

Easily the best experience I've ever had at any sort of medical appointment. Every single aspect is so well thought out and timed. The facility is top notch VIP. The people are kind and thoughtful (shout out to Kyomi for hand holding duty). The doctors are experts. The follow ups are thorough. The operation is life changing. I was wondering how they got such high ratings and now I know why!!!

Whole process was super smooth and the surgery was super comfortable and not painful at all. Getting some refreshments afterwards was a nice touch. Woke up the next day and had better than 20/20 vision with no discomfort in the eye whatsoever. Whole team is super nice, supportive, and professional. They absolutely deserve 100% 5 star reviews!
