Four Square Waimamaku
This place has everything! Great fresh produce and groceries, but also things like kitchen supplies, stationery, building supplies and a bunch of other things. They've come through for us on several occasions, we've brought replacement taps, potato mashers and paint rollers here, saving us from lengthy drives to either dargaville or kaikohe. The people are really lovely too.

This is the only place I've been that I can safely call an actual general store. Even if you don't need anything, its worth stopping at on a roadtrip. The meat section looks tumeke too!
