Friendly people and fantastic place. Great getaway.

Camped in our motorhome on powered site. Good walks, river activities, and horse treks. Facilities were clean. Great for families.

Had a fantastic time away...Horse riding, candle making, hand milking of cows (they offer so many options)...amazing scenery even after all the damage from the cyclone...the guides were super lovely...next to no service so that made for a compulsory chill out time although there is wifi for those that cant deal with the withdrawl symptoms lol...There are different living arrangements for individuals or larger groups...really does cater for everyone...will certainly be going back there!

Awesome view ,chirps, the river singing like nightingale sometimes burbling, good for family , playgrounds, the swings, the volleyball courts, horses and other animals. Enjoyed the stay…

Couldn't believe we had been driving past on SH5 for years and never known the campsite was there. Facilities were fantastic - best camp ground showers we've ever used, and the location couldn't be beaten.River was beautiful and deep, plenty of swimming holes to choose from.Staff were very friendly, and they offer plenty of activities to keep guests entertained.Extremely well run campground and less than an hour from Napier.We will definitely be back!

This was a fantastic experience. We booked a horse trek in Oct2022. Fleur is a great guide, gave clear instructions to the riders, and is a really nice friendly person. The 2 hour trek took us over such a wide variety of landscapes with beautiful views. The horses were well behaved, and Fleur took photos of us together in picturesque locations. She provided a great experience for both myself (an experienced rider), and my daughter who is a beginner, and gave us interesting information about the farm as we went. The property is beautiful and well maintained and every one we spoke to was just so nice. It was a lovely place to visit and a pleasure to meet them.

Awesome weekend retreat if you're into nature. The Mohake river runs through this awesome property and all ways of camping is available.Children can see goats, sheep, horses, cows, ducks and much more. Even the camp cat is pretty friendly and will lovingly take some food off your hands without begging.Ablutions are clean and there is enough firewood for a great fire to gather around.Will definitely visit again.

A beautiful drive to a very secluded area. Friendly hosts on arrival and we were given choices to buy ingredients to cook our dinner in our chalet as we didn’t come prepared and were expecting pizzas. Unfortunately this has to be requested before arrival and if there is a number of people staying. The chalet itself was perfectly designed, optional for x2 children to sleep in the top part. Kitchen had all the essentials required to cook your own meals. Communal showers were clean. We had the fire pit going and ate dinner under the stars with another couple who were also staying. We enjoyed the selection of walks around the river. We will definitely be coming back in the summer time!

To say this place is stunning doesn’t do it justice, you have to see it to believe how beautiful and majestic it truly is. We went for an amazing 2hr horse trek, all of us were beginners but after instructions from thee most lovely guide Fleur we were confident in our ability and lost in our beautiful surroundings. The horses are so well trained and so placid, you can only imagine the amount of time and care that has gone into these beautiful animals. It was the most amazing Mother’s Day!!

Lovey setting and so very peaceful.Very kind and friendly staff.This a rare find..a bunch of cabins and campsites on a working farm. What a great experience. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
