Ossewa House of Biltong, Boerewors & BBQ Takanini

We just found this place accidentally but it is one of the best SA shop we have been in NZ. Their biltong and their droë wors is really tasty and you will definitely want to come back for more. The young lady who runs the place is very accomodating and friendly. She even offered if we want to taste biltong and droë wors before we buy. I will recommend this place. It is amazing.

One Word - WONDERFUL!! :) , ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL .. The sweet heart there gave me and my wife a wonderful experience and gave us our first experience in buying Biltong in which I personally tried many years back from a cousins friend who was from S.A South Africa and Me being from South Auckland couldn't help but want to get a taste of that goodness , so I had seen this shop and me and my wife went in to take a look into the unknown and there it Was , We laid eyes on all that biltong goodness and what made it better was my wife never tried biltong Ever and when she seen photos she didn't find it appealing NEK MINUTE" her whole life changed in that very moment because what topped it off as we looked at all the Yummy biltong was that the Lovely young sweetheart gave us A Sample of nearly every Single Biltong

I take it as biltong blessing that they have opened shop in Takanini. Saves me the annual trip to the legendary Fred’s all the way up in Albany for once in a year tingling of tastebuds. Mind boggling biltong range & Supreme quality! Customer engagement is superlative!! Can’t wait to try their boerwors and all the other baked stuff. Well done U2!

Love, love and love this shop! It's so well set out, with a lovely vibe and decor with awesome products! Highly recommend their sosatie sausages along with their billtong and everything else! The owners are absolutely delightful and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Ossewa is such a gorgeous store in Takanini . They have such a wide range of African spices and sauces. Perfect store for barbecues. They had stock a huge range of biltong. Highly recommend for sure !

We are so blessed to have found a South African shop in our home town, not only is it a South African shop, it also have the best owners that always makes us feel welcomed!!!! They have the best Six Gun Biltong!!!

Awesome biltong, worthy of their name. Thr six gun biltong is a great flavour. The friendly staff makes this a 5/5 to visit.

Hubby stopped here on our way back down South and bought me 3 bags for a really great price. Apricot flavor, Red wine and Garlic, and original... my god, basically ate 80 percent of the 3 bags on my way home. Very very excellent Biltong by a lovely South African woman. Will definitely stop in next time we are in Auckland!
