Al Fresco Garden & Property Maintenance

My parents who are pensioners used this company today. They were asked to sign their quote to trim two hedges, two hours work for $290 approx at $60 per hour per person. They agreed and Alfresco turned up and did a great job, no problem there. But they only took two hours (turned up at 8.30 and left at 10.30). Then Alfresco called and said they would have to charge more as they were there for three hours (for two hedges? Really?). They sent an invoice at $70 per hour and tried to charge an extra $100 above the original signed quote. (You can’t legally charge above an agreed quote). My parents unfortunately paid this invoice. Just a warning to others. Do not pay above the agreed quote! Especially if they change the hourly rate and hours. Very unprofessional and money gouging. Especially to pensioners.

I have been looking for a reliable company to remove and trim some trees on my property. My neighbours recommended Al Fresco who had done a great job of some recent garden work they had done for a great price. I contacted Wendy and she replied promptly and organised a quote despite recent weather events making it difficult for their team to be out and about. Wendy understood exactly what I wanted done and the 2 men who were assigned the job were efficient, friendly and helpful. They left the area looking tidy and passed on some tips for future landscaping. The work was well priced and the best quote of all I looked into. The very best in customer service! After weeks of leaving message for various gardeners and landscapers in the Richmond area and not hearing back from them, My wife stumbled across Al Fresco on social media. My wife contacted the company via facebook and was replied to almost immediately and a booking was made for the next day to give us a quote (which was a Sunday).Andrew and Wendy came to my home and were very friendly and helpful with advice of the best course of action to remove 2 HUGE Yuccas, a cherry tree and some kind of spiky monstrosity that had terrorized and attacked me the last time I mowed around it.By 7:30pm that night I had a very reasonable quote emailed to me, which I accepted immediately.8:45am the next morning (Monday) Al Fresco arrived and removed the trees that had plagued our home, all the branches and litter was removed and disposed of and the only sign they were there was the vacant plot where the Yuccas had been!Tuesday I received a courtesy email from Al Fresco to make sure I was happy with the work, which I am extremely happy with.Honestly from beginning to end it was an absolute pleasure dealing with Al Fresco and I would not hesitate recommending them for any garden maintenance. Al Fresco were very responsive and the job was done within a couple of days. The quote was fair and 2 ladies came and did a great job of tidying up the garden. They were friendly and professional. I would recommend Al Fresco for all your garden work.

I have found the services of Al Fresco to be outstanding. Their knowledge of landscaping, listening to what we were wanting as a client and how to get the best result within our budget and also most importantly looking at a realistic time frame of how much work we would have to put into our section! We have been using Al Fresco Garden & Property Maintenance, on an ongoing basis, for over two years and are happy with the quality of the service.

The fence lines of our lifestyle block paddocks had become overgrown. Hay had been cut over several years but the edges had not been addressed so were out of control with blackberry and thick grass. We didn't have the equipment needed so I phoned Wendy and Andrew and received a reply promptly. They were there the next day to inspect and advise. Andrew arrived with his great cutting and mulching machine and he went for it! For such a compact machine it is surprising how it can rip into the work. Andrew obviously loving the challenge too. Very happy with the results. I will be using Al Fresco again. We have more work to do, this time, prickly hawthorn which Andrew advises he will cut and mulch at the same time. Nothing seemed a problem and Andrew and Wendy are a very pleasant couple to deal with. I also liked their honesty about how long the job was expected take.

The Al Fresco team were at Nelson Community Potters bright and early this morning making short work of a gnarly, stubborn stump that was holding up the building of our new kiln shed. What’s more the grounds afterwards were immaculate. Awesome work Al Fresco!

I used Al Fresco recently to tidy up the lawns and gardens of the property I was moving out of. They were able to help me out at short notice, and the team did a great job quickly and efficiently.
