Freedom camping for self- and non-self contained vehicles. With strict rules (read on arrive ) and very friendly officials: the lady looking after camp ground was very nice and provided some alternatives when she thought I could break some of the rules. Thank you, Dunedin!

2 public toilets and a drinking water tap behind the toilet.With a great view and a plenty of parking, what more do you need?Located on the opposite side of the residential area.Probably not a good idea to have a drinking party till the wee hours of the morning

Ocean View Recreation Reserve
One of the three places which allow freedom camping for any vehicle in Dunedin. You have everything you need to stay overnight. A clean toilet, drinkable water and the sea. Only 10 spaces are available.

Beautiful place.If you are here only for an afternoon or you have a SC vehicle it is a good spot.It is just few metres from the beach, there are picnic tables to use, serviced toilets, outdoor shower, dump station and running watter as well as a sink for washing up (cold water only though).There are 10 spots for the camping in ur car and they do fill up in quick after 3 pm.Beautiful sunrise. Good for dipping in the sea but beware of currents.

Ocean View Recreation Reserve
It is a good camping spot, has good facilities and close to the beach, what's not to love. It does get really busy with camping
