I was driving through Stratford and noticed a butchery with the word slaghuis" on the sign. This could only mean one thing... a South African owner which in turn meant biltong! So I stopped and went in and bought some. First biltong I have had in nearly 8 months since being in New Zealand and it was properly good.Will buy more (and some wors) next time I am passing through."

I am from South Africa and had a butchery for many years.NEVER HAVE I SEEN SUCH A DIRTY BUTCHERY IN MY LIFE.I have never seen enybody handle biltong in a commercial butchery with there bare hands.Needless to say the droewors(meat sticks) was frozen before and tasted absolutely like nothing.It amazes me that you are still in business.What a shame to fellow SAFFAS!!!
