We had chilly gobi from here and it's the worst item ever. It was very bland, hard and soaked in oil. We complained and the lady took it back replacing it with another item. This had been concluded then.But to our Surprise, they had charged us for it. And on asking about it, they got into a fight saying they're the best in the business and they cannot accept complaints.They kept repeating the same and the wait staff - which is their entire family got into denial and got into a big argument.It's the worst ever experience ever in terms of hospitality. Customer service and what not?Being a regular customer, I never expected to be treated this way. This is utter chaos where the chef came out and said he never received even one complaint in his entire 10+ years cooking experience.When you accept compliments! Why not accept complaints or criticism on the chin!No wonder why, on all the negative reviews of this restaurant - Customer service has been the talking point! Please read through.To exacerbate matters, when approached about the poor quality of the food, the restaurant staff hid behind their claim of being a small business in need of support. This manipulative tactic is an unjustifiable excuse to deliver subpar food and evade accountability. It is unfair to exploit the goodwill of customers who are seeking an enjoyable dining experience and expect quality food for their money.Disclaimer - Being an Indian, to an extent we faced indian discrimination too during the discussion/debate. So watch out guys if you have to have a discussion.I am never going back again!

I was one among the three, who you claim that we created chaos at your restaurant.My recent visit to this restaurant was incredibly disappointing and I feel compelled to share my experience. We placed an order totaling over $100 and encountered an issue with one specific item, the chili Gobi. Unfortunately, the dish lacked flavor and was poorly prepared - bland, with an excessive amount of oil. When we conveyed our dissatisfaction, the owner lady acknowledged the problem, took back the dish, and we requested an alternative option.Regrettably, the situation escalated during the payment process when we noticed that we were charged for the faulty item without prior notification. When we inquired about this discrepancy, she arrogantly stated that the food was good and there was nothing they could do about it. This incident created a chaotic and uncomfortable atmosphere for all present, exhibiting unprofessionalism and a lack of control from the restaurant staff.In light of this experience, I strongly advise against visiting this Indian restaurant. The owner's attitude was abysmal, and the disruptive altercation that unfolded only added to the unpleasantness. There are far better options available where you can enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in a welcoming and respectful environment.

I have got recommend this place from my wife's friend, and I must say I like it. Small but nice vibe. The man who works here is extremely welcoming and nice. The food is great and good price. It's nice having a great Indian place in town. Highly recommend.

Food was DELICIOUS, service was prompt and prices were very reasonable. Hands-down the best South Indian food I’ve had in Christchurch. Dosas, Vada and Honey Cauliflower were yummy and mango lassi is very fulfilling. Highly recommended.

Small hidden gem with delicious food and customer obsessed. Amazing service. We ordered Mysore masala dosa, Idli , butter paneer ( best paneer I had, looks like they make fresh Paneer) , lamb biryani cooked to perfection. Away from home during vacation this place gave us the comfort with delicious food. If you are a big group , take away would be better option.

I ordered a lunch chicken jalfrezi (medium hotness) takeaway. Packed with vegetables and meat. Extremely yummy flavour, not too much salt. Great portion size for $8.95. Very friendly man behind counter.11/10!

Great authentic Indian food. My favourites are the dahi papdi and chilli honey cauliflower - they are delicious!! The dosa is the best I've had in Christchurch.The paneer and spinach curry was a bit too sweet for my taste but others may like it.
