Saxton Field
We were watching grandchildren playing softball. However, Saxton Fields in general are a great place for sports, as well as personal running, walking, cycling, etc. A great asset to Nelson/Tasman. We'll maintained facilities make it scenically attractive too.

Lots of field area, lots of baseball areas in back, except for the baseball bleechers I had trouble finding a simple bench. (Hard to enjoy a park without anything but grass to sit on)

Great facilities for loads of sports clubs, cricket, football, netball and our favorite the amazing velodrome that is free to use during the day as long as track club are not training in it. Great community resource and very well maintained.

Busy. High School tournament volley ball. Parking spaces rare and narrow roads. Take the first carport you see.Toilets and kitchens and several rooms. Know where you are going before you run late.Very noisy but pleasant outlook. Historical photos of sports people from Nelson in rooms.
