This is a place of learning maybe however my experiences with these young people is there poor understanding of the road rules. When I went to school we were told when crossing the road you do so in safe and quick manner but not the kids from this school no they think the go slow is a good look. Sadly I am ashamed to be a resident of linwood and yes people this is a small thing but not safe. 2 stars and that's one to many.

The best school in Christchurch by far!! The staff genuinely care about the students! Its so positive and humbling to see.My daughter is a year 12 student this year and has been at Linwood College for 5 years continuously. Her grades are fantastic and she has told me there is very little bullying, I get plenty of updates and have regular contact with the staff initiated by them.I absolutely recommend sending your children here!! Ignore the decile rating, it doesn't reflect honestly on how the school really is day to day. They're also moving back into the old school grounds next month and the old school has been demolished and fully rebuilt to the highest standard.A family member worked on the build and has said they have gone all out with the rebuild and it has state of the art facilities and is very student focused in the design of the school.Im proud to send my child here 100%

Linwood College has moved to the old Avonside Girls site. Avonside Girls has now moved to their new school. This is a great step up from the old school as they moved from buildings way past their use by date to very comfortable and quite modern facilities. In 18 months to 2 years time the school will move back to the old site into a brand new school.Certainly a great move for the school upscaling again.Linwood College is being rebuilt. Later this year it will be demolished. The school will be rebuilt on the same site. In the two years this will take Linwood College will move to the old Avonside Girls site. Once the building is completed the school will reopen on the original site. This process commences term 3 of this year. For more detailed information please contact the school directly. This is a very good school. The school goes beyond the call of duty to support the students and their learning. They are very caring. The school provides a variety of courses to suit the community it serves. There is opportunity for all students to achieve with NCEA. There s number of clubs of which some are based on ethnicity.Staff are supported by an experienced and understanding senior management team. The skills staff have collectively is impressive. A high school worthy of consideration.
