Pukaki Air Lodge
Great little spot. Excellent quality. Bed and bathroom really 4 star plus quality. Close to town for all the shopping stuff to do your hiking planning. And only a short drive from Mt Cook if you cannot get accommodation at tge Mountain.

Pukaki Air Lodge
I had a wonderful experience at the Air Lodge. It was in a perfect location near Mount Cook, and the family and staff who run the Lodge were lovely hosts. I would recommend this spot to anyone who is staying overnight in the region. The Air Lodge became a highlight of our stay and we wish we could have stayed longer!

Pukaki Air Lodge
Rooms very clean. And there is air con so on hot nights it is easy to sleep. Also owners have a car which you can use to drive into town. Good place to stay if you are doing A2O.

Pukaki Air Lodge
Wildly exceeded expectations. The hosts were incredibly kind and considerate from the start of our journey to the end. We arrived a bit late by car but Muddy was still available to greet us at the front desk and gave us a personal letter welcoming us to Pukaki. We caught the tail end of a glorious sunset with panoramic views from the airstrip. The room was spacious, solid showers, and good blinds. Got a cup of coffee in the morning and then were back at it. Would definitely stay with Mary and Muddy again when I'm next at Mount Cook.

Pukaki Air Lodge
The rooms were spacious and comfortable with gr8 bathroom and shower. The dinning room and lounge were more than acceptable. We stayed with Mary for 2 nights and she is a wonderful host who went out of her way with offering local knowledge even picking us up from town when we didn't have our car. Thanks Mary!

Pukaki Air Lodge
Very cool lodge with a hanger and the owner is a commercial airline pilot. You get to sleep with a jet fighter from China in the 60s in the hanger. You view of airstrip from your room. The rooms don't have black out shades so if you are sensitive to light you'll be getting up early. WiFi is painfully slow, 0.22 Mbps.

I'd echo everything in RG's review. Wonderful place to stay if you like quiet, wonderful views and LOTS of space - great communal kitchen and lounges plus outdoor spaces make this an ideal place to relax. Easy cycle to town, but we took advantage of that rare facility, a fully equipped kitchen to cook for a change. Ideal stop on the A2O ride.If you are into planes, even better, with the chance to fly in a Chinese training plane or other options a (biplane, freefall) at the airstrip.

Pukaki Air Lodge
Unique and very comfortable boutique lodging! Mary and her partner are very friendly, showing us the Chinese trainer plane they have restored and flown. The setting is right behind the airstrip and you can see a plane land/take off if they happen to be running. Nighttime stargazing is great as there's no light around other than the occasional car driving by and light from other rooms in the hotel. The facility is all brand new and very nice and clean. There's a large shared kitchen which was great for cooking dinner. Location wise it's a five minute drive to Twizel for supermarket and food etc. Would definitely recommend if looking for a place to stay in the area or looking for something really unique!

Pukaki Air Lodge
A lodge that does everything right: the owners are kind and warm, the rooms are spacious and sparkling clean and the views are panoramic-wide. Perfectly located for visiting Mt. Cook NP if you’re not staying in Mt. Cook Village. Breakfast is included (bread, eggs, yoghurt, muesli) in the kitchen shared by guests.As the curtains let a lot of (sun)light through, I would recommend bringing a sleeping mask to optimize your stay.

Amazing build, Great Views from the guest lounge, brand new with high ceilings, very friendly and generous owners. Would be a good stay for people who want to have a short or longish stay in Mackenzie Region.
