Move the 'BridgeTo Nowhere' up your to-do list!We (a group of 6) just returned from an awesome weekend exploring the 'Valley of broken dreams' - It was an awesome mountain bike ride (not too tricky) complete with a jet boat ride and canoeing experience. Our crew had an absolute blast. Huts were comfortable, cooking facilities well equipped and a hot shower an absolute surprise at the end of a big day biking. It was also nice to pop up to the lodge for a GnT and to hang with Blacky the cat. Mandy and Joe were very hospitable and were great to have a laugh with. Go and check it out for yourself!

Above and beyond my expectations! Everything was fabulous; the jet boat, canoeing, hiking and lodge accommodations. The meal at the lodge was really spectacular. We will be returning.

What a fantastic spot! So peaceful! Beautiful rooms, fantastic hospitality- thanks Phil, Tash, Darryl and Murray our jet boat driver and guide. We couldn’t fault - a must visit spot.

Joe is highly rude to anyone canoeing the river. We witnessed him refuse to slow down, even when those canoes had children in them, even going out of his way to get close to them & visibly enjoying scaring them. We witnessed every other jet boat slow down and couldn’t understand his attitude. Only way to describe it is he’s just a horrible human being

Ordered and payed for 4 hours canoeing and got 2,5h.Late start by 30 min due to late organizer.After jet boating up the river more time was wasted for unloading lodge equipment, boat problems and late payment (overcharged 10 NZD).Organizer was scared for the rapids, easy grade 2, for us experienced canoers.Organizer passed by with the jet boat and ordered us off the river to the boat when passing, after 2,5h canoeing and 30 min lunch, said that we couldn't make it in time due to head wind and slow progress.The organizer seems not to know canoeing very well, and focus on jet boating and lodging.The organizer is not recommended as a canoe organizer except for beginners.

What a great day. Thank you for the awesome guided tour. Enjoyed the cuppa and chocolate chip biscuits too. Very interesting history. Only two couples that day so we could have a personalised talk.

Wow this was amazing, totally surpassed my expectations. Such a beautiful place. Loved the jet boat ride. Our guides were knowledgeable and interesting on the history. Super fun day!

Lodge is excellent. Everything you could want. Far better than anything DOC could offer. Especially a fully stocked bar after spending a day paddling the river
