Matcha heaven! The store is beautiful. Staff were very friendly and warm. Vibrant atmosphere even on a quiet early weekday evening. Lots of delicious matcha treats for matcha lovers or those just wanting to give it a try and not sure where to start. Highly recommend!

Always a good experience! Their brown rice tea is perfect for cold evenings after having dinner. Their Sesame ice is also a must try!

It was my girlfriend's birthday and I wanted to surprise her with a slice of cake, and that's how we ended up at this place. The Yuzu Macha Crepe was delicious, also the Macha ice cream, it was the first time we ate such flavours and the were a pleasant surprise! Also, we appreciated they weren't so crazy sweet like other normal cakes!

It's tasty as long as you don't mind the bitterness of authentic matcha. The warabimochi was really nice. The sesame ice cream was somewhat weak. There was only one staff member running the shop so the wait time was long.

I recommend going to this place, especially if you want to relax and chill. There are two things that I like about it: The quality of the food and the place of cleanliness and tidiness.The food price is a bit pricy, but the high quality of the desserts tastes very creamy. Also, I like how the place is very clean and tidy.

Server was lovely, super helpful explaining the different flavors to choose from and was really patient. Ordered the matcha tsujiri parfait which was suggested as it contained a bit of everything-shiratama mochi, red bean and crispy rice puff layer served with soft serve ice cream topped with waffle piece. Waffle was really average but upon the first taste of matcha icecream, I was greeted by a cool and extremely smooth texture. The taste was slightly bitter but refreshing and balanced with the sweetness of the red bean layer. The yellow topping was sweet and a lovely addition, the white topping was standard chewy mochi, an option to add more yellow topping would be great! As for the crispy rice puff layer it adds interesting texture but personally not a fan, to me adding Rice Krispies almost brings down the quality of a dish.Overall it was a nice treat, and I'd like to try the shaved ice option next time!

Oh, I missed this taste so much! While I'd like more creamy 'milky' matcha ice-cream, it still was a great experience for my taste buds.Matcha crepe cake was great too. The service was friendly and the business hours are very generous (on Kapiti everything is closed at 5pm, haha).For new to Japanese treats customers, these sweets are not too sweet, the taste is delicate and it is better not to rush through it. Let yourself enough time to enjoy each piece.
