I'm in love with my new curly haircut by Becky. It was perfect. She's very welcoming and friendly. I'm very pleased.

An awesome team, having been recommended by a friend.Well the hairdresser I was with is no longer there,She set me with a really nice stylist to take her place.And has done a fantastic job with my haircut.

This is my first bad review which is a shame! I came to this salon for hair extensions and unfortunately after having them installed they were loose and slipping down by the next day. I contacted the hair dresser who installed them to let her know but she didn’t seem concerned and said she couldn’t see me until the following week- as I had an event on that weekend it wasn’t an ideal response. That night one weft fell out completely and in the end I was able to just slide them all out of my hair with no effort at all. It was pretty distressing and a massive waste of money (1000$). I wrote to the salon sharing my experience and not only did they decline even a partial refund for their poor workmanship and the wasted hair (and yes I know hair is non refundable as it’s a hygiene product, however this this not a change of mind- it’s a faulty installation) but they also didn’t even bother replying to my last email. Likewise the hair dresser didn’t reply to my last message the day I notified her about the loose wefts. I’ve had extensions before and normally they are tight and impossible to remove without pilers so I know these were not installed correctly. The salon should’ve shown more concern the day I reached out to them and I believe a refund should’ve been offered. I can’t recommend this salon based off this experience. I have informed vixen and luxe of the improper installation and will avoid association with this brand in future.

After moving to Dunedin and having 2 dreadful haircuts with other hairdressers, it was such a relief to come to Aurum and have my hair cut with Dee, who not only really listened to what I was wanting she then she cut my hair with care, precision and skill. Thanks very much :)

My wife loves this place! She has been twice now. During her visits she has had excellent customer service and good accurate treatments each time. The staff are friendly and inviting. The environment is clean and cozy. They are also timely and well priced! After really struggling to find a good hairstylist in Dunedin, this is definitely a great place to go! They are professional and make the wife feel confident, feminine and refreshed with her cut and colours.
