Steak house with good food and a nice atmosphere. I thought the New York Strip was delicious. Also recommend the citrus salad as a side (the seasonal greens was also tasty). Service was good.

The only good thing about the place was the staff. They were friendly and helpful. The food was average to say the least. Steaks overcooked. Asked for medium-rare, got medium. Was taken back to the chef and then returned with it saying it will be medium-rare in the middle, well about 1/4 of the steak was actually medium-rare the rest was overcooked for my liking. The place is dated and an awkward layout where my seat kept getting kicked and bumped into by the waitress trying to get to the other table. EXTREMELY over priced. would have preferred a steak from the pub down the road for half the price. Would not recommend dining here.

Amazing Food!!We dined as a group of 4 with 1 child.First time dining out for steak in this price range and we were a bit skeptical with quality and price margin. Happily learned our lesson. We had : Sirloin (med), Eye Fillet (med rare), Lamb Shoulder and another steak (can’t remember). We ended up trying out a few desserts after thoroughly enjoying our meals and side dishes. Best desserts in the south so far.Loved the lightness of the lemon curd cheese cake. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, got some great recommendations and felt very welcomed.

Tititea Steak House is solidly 5☆, the best food I've had touring around the South Island in 6 weeks. Great food, service & atmosphere. Well-trained staff.I had Beets Three Ways to start (4/5), which was a much larger portion than I'd expected. For the main, I had the Savannah Ribeye on the bone (5/5), sautéed mushrooms (4/5), roasted garlic herb compound butter (4/5) with a side of Citrus Salad (butternut, pear & goat's cheese) (5/5). My dessert was the Creme Brulee with freeze-dried raspberry (5/5).The Chard Farm Mata-au is the pick of the Pinot Noirs and the Mt Difficulty PG dessert wine paired well with dessert.

I was craving some good ole beef based steak after too much lamb since landing in New Zealand. I love me some lamb/mutton here and there but beef is what I enjoy more and thats how we landed at this steakhouse during our trip.I give it a 5 star not because it was anything super special or different but because they did things right. The steak was cooked as requested, medium rare for me, and tasted great. The duck fat fried potatoes as a side complimented the meat perfectly. Everything was delicious. My only complaint isn't about the food but about the seating. It's a small place and they crowded the tables real close. Hard to move without brushing up against your neighbors and hard to have an intimate date cause your neighbors can definitely hear.Didn't try anything other than the beef so no idea how their other proteins are.

Easily one of the best restaurants we've been to in New Zealand! The service was attentive and friendly, the food was spectacular. I came specifically for the Venison Loin and it did not disappoint - the pomegranate glaze was TO DIE FOR.The only tiny critique is that the decor was lacking a bit and there was no music was playing.

AMAZING!! Every bite was to die for! First time in a long time that all plates were completely empty. We all had different types of steak and the lamb shoulder and they were all cooked to perfection. After our main, we were absolutely stuffed and didnt think we could have another bite, until we were offered the dessert menu and decided if the mains were that good, there was no way we were passing up the opportunity to try the dessert and man were they GOOD. We pretty much rolled out but it was worth it. If we are ever back in town, ill be making sure i come back! The team were also on fire, so friendly, knew how to have a laugh and very attentive! Good job guys

Will be 100% booking to ensure we get in. A not to be missed experience of amazing food, with brilliant service and a warm and welcoming dining room. We rocked up without a booking. We were looked after, drinks at the bar and from there the food and wine was excellent. Topped off with a lovely dessert. The steak ribeye rare was excellent. Mushrooms were on the small side but that would be the only critique. The four of us eating all were blown away by the food and service. Until next time. Highly recommended!!

The owner deleted my last review so reposting.Reply to your last message owner: Sorry I mean 1 hour 17 minutes 43 seconds, I had to round it up to how disappointing your restaurant is. Ask your staff about dinner today before replying with no information. The worst restaurant I've ever been to. For a steak house you would expect to receive your food quite quickly upon order but NOOOO, I swear these guys are cooking with 1 pan which took an hour and a half to serve 2 people in our table. The food was so average for its price but the wait made it terrible. To put a cherry on top of this embarrassing restaurant, they charge a $3 fee to use any card payments included in the receipt.A fee for what? It's New Zealand, not once I've encountered a bad restaurant like this which deserves my first review on my life.
