Great place to do a horse trek and get a look at the local area. This place is a bit of a drive, but it's worth it for the fantastic farmland and rivers you see, as well as lots of native bush.

Wonderful trek with Georgie and her beautiful horses, they are very well trained and responsive to a gentle tug of the reins. We trekked for 2 hours up and down hills on their farm along lovely bush tracks accompanied by the 3 friendly dogs. Would definately go again!

The owners were unwelcoming and dismissive. The photos of the accommodation on their website are missing leading, the accommodation was dirty and looked like someone else was living there. Health and safety was a big concern too. When compared to what we received, the price they charged was ridiculous.The horses riding was good, and thank god for Rachel who was there helping the owners with the treks, she was the saving grace.Unfortunately I do not recommend this place.

Wonderful horse trek - those horses are so lovely. The views from up on top of the ridge were breathtaking - it is such a priviledge to be able to have an escorted trek on a private farm like this.We stayed in the Ritz" and I'd far rather stay in this lovingly converted wool shed than the one in the centre of London any day. And we finished off the day by joining the family owners for a delicious home cooked dinner. Highly recommended"

We enjoyed our time with Georgie and the other girls. Horses are sound and chosen well for your riding ability.Hard long drive to get there, but a great afternoon.

Quite possibly one of the best weekends of my life. Very well cared for horses, welcoming hosts, comfortable accommodation. Amazing trekking. Had a fantastic time and definitely want to go back.

We made a an impromptu decision to book at Heavely Horse rides for the weekend. Georgia was great in responding quickly to our email. The Ritz where the 2 of us stayed is a beautifully re-architected woolshed that was super comfortable. Nice having friendly horses grazing around the house. And a lovely lunch spot by the river just across the road. We took a ride out to the beach to see the amazing White Rock and did a nice bike ride. The next day we did a very enjoyable 2 hour horse trek into the hills and back along the river. Ben and Georgia were great in getting us organised with the horses, and Georgia was a very friendly guide on our ride; giving us lots of information. Definitely a fantastic weekend and worth the windy dustry ride to get there. Highly recommend it.

A wonderful trek. Beautiful horses that are well cared for by their adoring owner. A two hour trek through the backcountry of Riversdale Station. Thank you for a lovely experience Georgia.

Absolutely gorgeous and remote area for those wanting digital detox and feel of farm life. The owner's are incredibly friendly and helpful and tailored the horse treks to capability of the group. The horses are very well cared for and are calm sure-footed rides.Accomodation is warm clean and high quality with the welcome hot shower after a day riding.I definitely recommend and will be back

Fantastic horse trek in the beautiful South Wairarapa country side. The horses were all clearly loved and well cared for. I fell in love with my horse sweetie, who was a gentle giant and very responsive. Georgie was a great host and we appreciated hearing about the properties history. We will definitely be back. Thanks again!
