He Puna Taimoana Hot Pools

Loved my mid winter dip! Great soak in the pools watching the waves roll in, further heating in the sauna and a cold shower after was just the thing. Lovely staff, great facilities and I'll definitely be returning.

Been to these pools several times now and just so beautiful. The view when sitting in the main hot pool is stunning. Looking out across the ocean. Lovely friendly staff, a clean environment, a great selection of pool temperatures. A neat place for family and friends to relax catch-up and soak!! Thank you New Brighton!!

First time at these hot pools on a cool, almost rainy morning. Good to have lockers at a reasonable price for valuables. The changing rooms were clean and comfortable with heated floor and radiant heaters hanging from the ceiling. Great location by the sea, with view of the ocean and pier even from the sauna. Steam room and plunge pool were additional bonuses. Friendly and helpful staff.

Fantastic facility for Christchurch. Very affordable and extremely busy being booked out a lot.One suggestion is we get a 2 hour session when booking.What if you had 1hr sessions available for the people who don’t need the 2 hour sessions.We spent 50mins in the pool and so did others.The time we didn’t use could have been used by others.Great experience and we will be back

Really cool view, very clean and quite. Price is reasonable. Had a really nice time with my family. The cold pool is really cool. Highly recommend for everyone.

The Sunrise Soak experience was very pleasurable (don’t bother arriving much before 7:30 a.m.) and included an optional 8-minute guided relaxation, piped into the sauna - but since I find saunas too hot after a couple of minutes, the lifeguard replayed it for me while I soaked in a pool. I appreciated the complimentary beverages - a nice touch, including a post-soak hot drink at the adjacent cafe ($1 extra for decaf coffee).Too bad the two hair dryers in the women’s changeroom were out of order. And apparently, the ocean-facing pool wasn’t as warm as it should be, though two other pools were warmer (none were hot). There is also a cooler pool to swim a few laps, plus a cold plunge pool.Pleasant staff.Given that the pools are open-air, it might be less enjoyable in inclement weather. A partially sunny June morning was lovely, but I was glad of the loaned robe for walking between pools.

What a wonderful gem to have in the city! We loved our visit to the hot pools. The temperature was great in the active & family pool for our two little boys. The view from the hot pool was gorgeous - you really can't beat the ocean. The breeze was just perfect with the warmth of the sun. The facility was clean and I thought the women's change room was quite lovely. The music was so relaxing - I wish I could've stayed longer! Also, the attached café was a great place to refuel after our visit and the kids LOVED the nearby splash pad and playground.

Nice facility's with large warm changing rooms and showers options for paid and unpaid lockers, cafe attached. Pool overlooking the sea is very hot and crowded as not very wide. Good sized exercise pool allows you to swim properly. Hydrotherapy pool is nice warm and lots of jets of water, easy access with low steps or ramps into pools. Disabled access into pool, free sauna and nice warm other pools. Lack of greenery bit too much concrete but it's so reasonably priced that it's not a problem.

Once again an excellent visit with friends, the weather was perfect, the atmosphere relaxed and most of the staff happy smiley folks. The nice shower gel in the main changing showers was a pleasant surprise, good to get the sun cream off and clean to dress aftearwards.
