By far the best kennel in Taranaki and probably even New Zealand. Aaron is a dog man and it really shows by how much effort goes into every aspect of his retreat. On arrival there is off street parking. Very welcoming and is more than happy to show you around. Very clean and tidy inside and out. Multiple play areas for every shape and size dog. We drive out from New Plymouth even if we are travelling in the other direction.

Harrison loves going out to coastal kennels. Has way too much fun and comes back absolutely shattered so I get some peace haha. We happily travel from New Plymouth to take him out because we know he's well looked after. His first visit Sian sent an email to let us know he was having a great time which I really appreciated. Highly recommend Coastal Kennels!

Our dog has been twice, she's quite shy but the second time she seemed to be on more of the video footage so hoping that means she is getting used to the place. Awesome family run business and we love the video updates on Instagram ☺️

Our Pitbul Poppy was at coastal kennels for 2 weeks. She was well looked after and loved the interaction/socialisation with all the other dogs (She can be temperamental with certain dogs) but they were well aware of this and handled her so well! She even lost some weight from all the running around haha! Highly recommend!!!

Wish I found this place sooner! Was so nervous to leave my girl for a few days but Coastal Kennels looked after her so well I'm excited to take her back. Can tell they just really love dogs. I was sent a little update on how she's settling and what she's upto so I didn't have to worry. They were even flexible with the times as long as they're communicated. When I picked up my girl it looked like she'd had the time of her life and she's actually settled a lot more. 17 Stars

Never has my dog come home more happy and content. The videos are an amazing touch for us clingy parents too. I cannot recommend Aaron & Sian enough. Best care by a long shot and won't consider anywhere else again.

Our 7 year old dog Zen stayed at Coastal Kennels for 6 days, the first time we've left him behind ever. As he's our number one child we had the guilts lol but Zen had a great time and was well looked after by Aaron and Sian.We highly recommend Coastal Kennels and will definitely take Zen there again in the future.Wanda and Steve

We have been taking our dogs there for years and they really enjoy it there , Aaron the owner is brilliant with the dogs and posts heaps of videos etc online . Best place for your dogs by far .
