Totara Reserve Pohangina
Wonderful place to camp, toilets and showers nice and clean. Camp Manager Kelly was awesome. Glow worms just up the road, wicked bush walks and beautiful river safe for swimming. Will definitely be back!

Awesome place off season, we were the only ones there, hot showers, flushing toilets, Kereru flying over head, small bush walks.

Great place for families, neat playgrond. Safe swimming, clean toilets and showers. Short walks close by. Glow worm caves up the road are magical!

Great camping spot with high quality shower and toilet facilities. Also feature a play area, bbqs, tree hut and communal established fire pit. Heaps of space and next to a river.

Fantastic new facilities, including mobility friendly shower and toilet block, powered bookable campsites, and landscaped playground make this a winning family campground. The river is a short walk away, and great fun. Check conditions though and as always watch kids around water. This River runs fast even when low. Which also means fun, if you're careful!

A wonderful place to stay for families. The flow worm caves are a real highlight. Be careful swimming near the cliff though (there are plenty of warnings), bad accidents have happened there in the past.

Short drive from Palmerston NorthA must in summer or any sunny day. Swim in the river, short bush trail, barbecue are some of the activities that can be done..I visited in November 2019
