Bosch Car Service - Auto One Bay Of Islands

Now, I've never owned a car, but I do rent ones occasionally. So it happened that I was in Kerikeri, when my rental van started to sound more like a tractor. The rental company got in contact with Auto 1 and I rolled the car down the road to their garage, 30 min. before they closed. The recent weather events had given them a lot of work and many cars were piling the up, the owner Justin, informed me. Nevertheless, he would scan my van to see where the problem might lie, but also told me that he wouldn't be able to fix it right away. Turns out the car was misfiring and probably needed a new cylinder. Now, here's the thing. The van was also me and my partners home, so leaving it wasn't really an option. Justin, unprompted, was quick to offer us a parking spot behind the garage. He'd then have someone from his team look at the car first thing in the morning. Now, furthermore, as if he was employed by the Kerikeri tourism office, he also was quick to make sure we knew where to go for a good feed. And should we have some extra time to spare, he had a few suggestions of places to visit close by. Now, again, not a car owner normally, but this must be the most go-the-extra-mile-and-beyond mechanic experience ever. We had our car back in action by lunch time the next day and while I hope your car never breaks down, I truly hope that if it does, it happens within the vicinity of Justin and his team at Auto 1.

Good experience. Car broke down while away on Holiday. I had to rent a car and head back to Auckland. I found them very communicative and fitted the parts the day they arrived so I could drive back to KeriKeri and stop paying for a rental car. They even helped me drop my rental car back to the Airport. The work was good. It was a positive experience.

Got a flat battery just around the corner from here, about a 30 second walk, first guy I talked to was being so rude and told me it would cost $25 to jump start my car for me, walked away to see if anyone I knew could come jumpstart me for free but no answers and I was desperate to get home so went back, talked to a second guy that was abit nicer, and he tells me it’s $20, still a rip off but the other guy was ripping me off an extra $5. Took literally about a minute to walk to my car and jump start it. $25 for a minute job. No generous free offer, people not nice at all here.

Paid these guys to flush my auto due to a very intermittent flaring when cold between 3rd and 4th.Straight after the service, the gearbox was shocking. The car would completely loose power when taking off and going around corners.My wife refused to drive the car any longer. The response from Auto One was If it's on the way out

We had a windscreen replaced. Excellent job. But the best thing was incredible customer service. I had to change appointment and juggle things and they were great helping to make everything work. Even though they were extremely busy. It was Highly recommend!!

Being an out-of-towner and having your alternator die on you is not convenient.These guys were amazing. Ordered the needed part up overnight and had me back on the road by lunchtime. They were hugely helpful, friendly and very efficient. Highly recommended!

The only reason I give 1 star is because there are no option for 0 stars. Today I had them replace my ute windscreen and apart from a sloppy job with adhesive squeezed through the windscreen side panel on the inside, there is a fat edge scrape on the bonnet below the lower edge of the widscreen... after politely showing this to the owner he did not even look at the scratch properly and went to talk to his team and then denied they scratched it. Almost like this is a regular occurrence... he even said they often cop it from the public. So, if you ABSOLUTELY have to take your vehicle there, take your time to have THEM inspect and note the condition of your vehicle in detail. I strongly suggest you avoid them completely due to the shoddy workmanship (as the owner pointed out, after that many years of doing this I would have thought theybwould get it right). I wont be using them again, nor would my family or friends, or my families' friends or my friends' family. AVOID!!!!

They said they will call when they get a new part for my car, as it failed WOF. After a month of no hearing from them and my car being unusable without WOF, I called them and they said they didn't even check if the part is availible since I was there for my WOF check. In a month! In that same conversation they said they will check for the part that same day and email me about it. 3 weeks and still no email. Already went to different service provider and got new part and WOF.Plus, there is one lady who works there who is so rude and obviously doesn't want to be there. Terrble customer service.
