Very authentic Chengdu hotpot. excellent service. The owner is very attentive. The ingredients are fresh. This is the most decent Chinese food I have eaten in Auckland for four years.

A great selection of ingredients to add yourself at this immersive dining experience of norther Chinese hotpot. Always seems to be new ingredients to try that I have never tasted before at hotpot places. Especially like the way that bean curd becomes soft like a big flat noodle when you cook it.

I really enjoyed the food, it was very tasty, there was quite a lot of options to choose from and a lot of ingredients for your sauce. There is a little side table on the side so everything you order will be able to fit.They also provide an apron if you don’t want to get stains on your clothes.

Tomato soup was great! The Beef soup was too oily for my liking and the chicken soup could use more flavor. We ordered way to much i suppose (3 meat, 3 sides, 2 veggies) and for a party of three but it was super filling.Now the downside:The waiter took one of our side dishes wrong, it was untouched and i explained kindly that she took it wrong and if she can replace it. As a customer, of course you would expect a swift let me fix this for you" because she had it wrong. I was surprised that she said "it cannot be replaced". First

We used to go fortnightly 2 years ago, we decided revisited the restaurant again on Thursday 5:30pm after work for dinner thinking we would avoid the long wait and get a table without reservations, as we are aware it is a very popular restaurant. We managed to get shown to a table promptly. They are definitely short staff and I felt very sorry for the only woman carrying out all the heavy soup pots and wheel out the food trolleys for the 5 tables that already have customers, she was the only one who continued to bring out the heavy soup pots and food trolley the whole time we were there till all the tables were full by the time we left around 7pm. We waited 45mins before our food arrives as it was observed there were only 1 woman serving food from the kitchen, 2 wait staff and 1 reception staff, who is also handling delivery orders. The food was great and consistent, the restaurant probably has the most complete and fresh sauces station compare to other hotpot places I have been to. Pricing is fair by Auckland central standards. They also have customer parking across the road if you arrive early. I would return again, when I have more time to wait rather than a quick after work dinner.**Update: return for lunch today, I am pleasantly surprise how toddler friendly the restaurant is, the staff automatically brought out a clean high chair, toddler friendly plates, cutlery, colouring paper and markers. Service was great, both staff working the shift were friendly, accommodating and efficient, the male staff took such joy in presenting the dishes with “Smokey” effect in front of my toddler, my toddler loved it and call it the volcano dish. I would definitely return for a weekend lunch.

Great spot. Not much more you could ask for from a hotpot spot, maybe a couple more broth options if I were to nitpick?Food standards were excellent.The sirloin barbie, though macabre, was actually one of the best cuts of meat we had! The Wagyu was excellent too!Would recommend the veggie platter as the portions here are so huge, we individually ordered veg and had far, far too much leftover and forced ourselves to eat it out of guilt!

Very busy restaurant.Booked a table but had to wait another 30 more minutes.It would be nice to see any fresh vegetables and other ingredients.Over prices for what we got.(for 4 adults, paid $245)It was very experience and not to recommend to others.Hard to find the parking place.

Great place for family and friendly to catch up and enjoy the real Hotpot in Auckland. Exceptional presentation and fresh looking for their food, you won’t be disappointed if you want to taste the traditional Chinese Hotpot. Staffs are very friendly and whole place is nice and clean. We will definitely come back again.

Quite Disappointed tbh. Ridiculous Service! Came in stood there waited to be seated at least 5 minutes, 5 different employees walked forward and back in front of me left me feeling very transparent. I didn't stand the service walked out. Came back again today service was better but food was ridiculous, last dish to arrive was a deep fried. Brought it to the table, I advised it was over cooked just by seeing the colour. The claimed it was freshly cooked. I took a bite and found it was cold. Took it to the manager and she took one off the plate and said it was hot. She took it into the kitchen gave it to the chef the chef said its like this, it not over cooked..... Not coming here.... 1 star reviewedBack again! Since the last visit cause I had a chat with the Owner and guaranteed retraining was going to be provided. Last post forgot to mention the food is fab. Today when I returned the service was much better. 4 star review. Space for improvement but satisfied as a paying customer.
