Indian sizzler restaurant

I had a superb dinner here with my partner and friends. We ordered chow mein samosas, a vegan sizzler plate (i.e. food served on a hot metal plate), and a veganised Chinese pizza. Everything was delicious and full of flavour, with big servings (the sizzler plate and pizza are both big enough for two people - great value).We particularly liked the huge variety on the sizzler plate, which included two massive skewers, flavoured rice, tons of veg, and potato wedges!I also really enjoyed the fusion menu: the combinations are fun and work really well (who doesn't want noodles on their pizza!), and meant that all the food was packed with flavour.The cocktail menu is extremely boring - this place deserves better - but the decor is fashionable and stylish and the staff were attentive and considerate. Definitely worth the visit!

We popped in here for dinner on a Tuesday evening. By looking at the used tables, the place had been busy prior to our arrival, but we dined alone.We had a Samosa entree, which arrived with two pieces and a sauce. Main was a Chicken Pasanda and accompanied by a garlic Naan.Was very enjoyable.Pricing was reasonable (helped because we shared a meal between two)

I've eaten ALOT of curry in my life all through NZ - mainly butter chicken. This one was easily in the top 3 if not best of them all. Mouthwateringly tender bits of chicken (and a decent amount), perfectly spiced medium butter chicken sauce with texture that held (hate them runny or like tomato soup) and just delish in general. I have never done this sort of thing as I sort of think when you get food from anywhere its always a risk. However, I was so floored by what my family and I had from Tikka House that I felt like I had no option. We ordered the Tikka Platter which has a mix of meat and seafood pieces coated in a Tikka masala and cooked in the normal way. We also ordered the Butter Chicken and that was where we struck a problem. I have had butter chicken from various restaurants both dine-in and street-food both in Western countries and the Middle East and this was the worst I have ever had. It essentially was chicken pieces in cheap tomato soup. There was no redeeming qualities at all. From the taste to the smell it was just horrible. We had ordered our food later than what would be normally considered dinner time in NZ and if the restaurant had been opened still when I went to eat it I would have made the effort to take it back to the restaurant. I will not say that the restaurant as a whole were awful because they weren't. When I picked up our order they were happy to make naan for me on the spot no questions asked and that was much appreciated. Who knows maybe they were having an off night but because of this experience we will never order from here again.

Great fusion food. Perfect ambience for a date dine in and they have yummy sizzling dishes and drinks to go with. Centrally located and accessible from main visiting spots like the museum in CBD. Awesome table service and food was worth the price.

Last minute family dinner. Delicious food and fantastic service. Lovely atmosphere and very clean.

The best Indian food I have ever had. Our meal was absolutely amazing. The chicken just fell apart, it was so tender. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Extremely good food at a very affordable price. We got the onion rings, pork belly, garlic tikka with garlic naan, lamb rack and seafood platter. Everything was good.Would definitely come back again.

Very nice place to have a dine in meal and a drink. The food is fusion style dishes and the sizzlers are piping hot. Good sized portions and the service staff are always friendly.

I have been coming here for years and never have been disappointed. The other day I said I wanted to try something different, described what taste I wanted and the amazing staff suggested Chicken Mehi Malai. THE BEST CURRY I HAVE HAD IN YEARS!! My world has been opened up! Thank you to the staff and the amazing food.
