Ataturk Memorial Park
Parked at the bottom and walked up, has steps to help the climb up, good views over the bay, great walks around to spot some of NZ fauna.

Bannockburn Sluicings Historic Reserve
This site is amazing. The views are great from the top. History of the area is mind blowing the signs give you a brief look into what it was like. Goldming in such a baron place would have been so hard, all for GOLD. Sad that they didn't have to return the land to the way it was.The smell of thyme was lovely.

Sailors Grave
Gorgeous beach. Only easily accessible one in the region we could find that allowed dogs and was safe enough for kids. The wave are incredible but break far enough from the shore that they aren't too crazy, as well as the cold water stream, makes it a good place for kids and dogs. Nice tracks if you want to go exploring.

Larnach Castle
Larnach Castle was good, but not quite worth the $39pp fee to visit the castle and the gardens. The owners have done a great job of fixing up the place, and the furnishings were impressive, but overall it just didn't feel worth the entrance cost.

Devcich Historic Farmstead
This was a family trip to the Coramandel Peninsula and northern New Zealand. We were looking for a location in the country and this one was the most beautiful, interesting, and unique experience we could have asked for. This historic farm and home are amazing. The house is original to the property, but updated nicely in a very comfortable way and suited our group of nine. The nearby river was convenient for exploring and fishing. The location was close to Thames and was convenient for day trips to other adventures in the northern region. The property owner was wonderful and very responsive throughout out stay if needed. Best trip ever!
