Ice skating rink

We had a great time for our works do. Great communication and the function room was fantastic. Highly recommend

Kids enjoyed the ice skating. Service was good. Facilities are dated but your there to ice skate. Was pretty warm once you start moving around.

2nd best ice in the South island, good rink ran by the club, well priced

Lots of activities to keep our group entertained. We took the triple package and an escape room.Thank you to the staff for being so accommodating and organizing our evening.We visited on the 26th May 2023, Fridayit was my grandsons 18th.

Was so much fun

I recently visited Paradise Ice Skating Rink in Avondale with a group of friends and had a great time. The rink is well-maintained and the ice quality is good. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with rental skates and answering any questions we had.The rink itself is a decent size and was not too crowded, which made skating more enjoyable. They also have a good selection of music playing, which added to the atmosphere.

Went to the mini golf on Sat and wasn't a great experience. The course is very small which isn't a problem but is very poorly maintained which is. Most holes were in dire need of repair especially hole 4 and clearly many others had similar experiences judging from the number of abandoned balls we found. It's a real pity as it could have been a great experience. If you want a family game of mini putt go elsewhere

This was my maiden karting experience. I absolutely loved it!!!You can see all the results from the race in the end on a screen. I wonder if avg. speed could be added on there??We were a group of 3 only, it's a bit of a shame as you end up being mixed in with other groups of people for the 20 min slot we booked in, fair enough, but this has impacted our experience for different reasons.The other people were unknown to us, and seemed to have not cared much to respect initial rules like (it's a NON-CONTACT event) therefore, they were driving recklessly and dive bombing around hairpins and not managing their braking well. On many occasions the staff has reduced the speed on my kart because of such events. At one point one of the staff was giving me a very grumpy look for no obvious reasons.If I had to suggest anything, it would be to go with a larger group of friends/family, or at less busy hours.Of the 20 minutes we were supposed to get, we got about 18 minutes of racing.Another thing that I found that could improve is the ventilation.The petrol fumes can be quite irritating for the eyes and let alone lungs.No cautions or mention of this prior to racing was ever mentioned during the safety briefing.I would suggest bringing a good mask or a scarf to cover nose and face at least.I recommend Daytona Adventure Park to anyone. Good fun with heaps of different things to do!!

We visited the hot pools in winter to warm up a little. A free parking spot is right in front of the Tekapo springs. Unfortunately, the changing room was not heated which wasn’t pleasant while running around in our togs. Furthermore, the lockers cost 3$ for three hours which could be paid via card. As an alternative there were other storage compartments but they were open. There were three hot pools with different temperatures and the hottest one was adult only. They are perfect for relaxing after a nice hike and offered seating in the water. The view was quite good with the mountains and the Lake Tekapo in the background. Inside there was a restaurant which was ok and offered enough tables and a fireplace to warm up. The showers had a dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel but the water pressure and the warmth couldn’t be adjusted. They had a tog dryer and a Dyson hair dryer which was nice. Overall, a nice place to relax and warm up but still some room for minor improvements.
