I lovely inner-city development that presents a gentle walk through Christchurch commercial district. Unfortunately it's beauty had been tarnished by a bit of vandalism

Nice gathering place.

.(12/2017)A long and well maintained walkway passing through multiple reserves.This walkway provides beautiful views of sea and bays.The maintenance is not consistent and at places you may have to take care of narrow walks and extended bushes or branches. There is one point where a big tree is fallen and warnings are well posted to duck and cross under the tree with care.It is more of an adventurous track than a leisure one.Seating and benches are provided at regular distances.Lot of viewpoints with dedicated viewing areas and seats can be found during walk on this track.There is no dedicated parking area available at this particular point although ample street parking can be found.Could not spot any public restroom in plain view at this location.

This is a great hike but not always well marked through the neighborhoods (take a map just in case). Be wary of the tide, there is a section you can't walk or stay near the trail when the tide is in.

.(12/2017)This walkway connects many reserves from Blockhouse Bay all the way to the Hillsborough Bay.This location is at the entrance from Taylors bay.Well maintained.Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views.Many beautiful viewpoints with dedicated viewing area can be found during the walk on this track.Public restrooms are available at Taylors bay next to this entrance.Ample parking space is available at this location.Wheelchair parking is available.

A great way to bypass the city streets and see some backstreet sights. Even a tiny coffee shop on the way to Manchester st

.(12/2017)Beautiful and well maintained walkway.It further connects to multiple walkways, bays and reserves at different ends including beautiful Grannys Bay.There is a small disconnect to his walkway from Wesley Bay towards Grannys Bay where you may have to figure way out of rocks for reaching at the other end to continue the walk.Directions are provided along the track at regular distances and intersections.Couple of beautiful viewpoints with dedicated viewing area can be found during walk on this track.Seating and benches are provided at regular distances for taking rest and enjoying the views.There is no dedicated parking area available although ample street parking can be found at the entrances.

Great multi cultural suburb with public transport all around which has recently been upgraded. They quite often have free events happening here weather it's to raise awareness, or community events. We attended one here on the previous school holidays where they had free chalk to draw, live performances, music and offered a great environment for family fun. Definitely worth checking out what's happening to ensure your aware of events.
