Cooking School

I did the one-day bread making course and loved it. The course leader, Ralf, was a fount of baking knowledge that he imparted throughout the day. I came away with enough baked goods to justify the course cost! Great facilities and epic location.

Amazing day on our one day cooking retreat. Such a beautiful vibe from Jenny and the space. Really helped gently nudge us further down our plant based journey. What we created in the space of a few hours was a real surprise. Such good value for money. Highly recommended.

An experience like no other in Christchurch. Kahlo’s dishes will take you to Mexico, real authentic ingredients that are amazing and you will never get enough of her guacamole it’s on point and like no other. The cooking class is amazing and her knowledge of her home land and Mexican cuisine can not be beat. Book now and you won’t forget.

We attended a recent Ottolenghi-inspired Middle Eastern Vegetarian class and had an awesome time. Great vibe, Wendy is super knowledgable on food, and shares little cooking tips and hacks to make you more efficient in the kitchen along the way. Finished off with a group dinner of all the food we made - there was a tonne! And it all tasted delicious.

I recently had the pleasure of being hosted by Jenny at the stunning Te Whenua Retreat. As a leadership coach and facilitator, Jenny was outstanding at supporting the needs of my client and working in with me to make the whole workshop seamless and stress free. I was also treated to the wonderful food and great company from Jenny and Pema the dog. Being able to stay at the facility before and after the workshop certainly helped me deliver a high quality event. Absolutely fantastic experience at the cooking school on Friday. David is a great host, very entertaining, and his food (and wine) is delicious too. The evening was incredible value as well. Ate more than my fill there, but still came home with dinner for the next day! Thoroughly recommended!

highly recommend , we had a blast cooking up a storm. Staff is super friendly and the setup is perfect for medium size crowds . its a fun night out!

We prepaid our wedding accommodation out of the goodness of our heart, unfortunately we both went into level 4 lockdown for our booking/wedding. Upon rebooking a month later Elle rebooked us and advised of a price increase, i questioned the price increase as we prepaid and to book online would work out cheaper than what she was offering us, no response, I’ve emailed again for a refund and she’s still not responding. My advice would be to book online and only pay on arrival.

Had the best time at Raffaela's place and cooking class. Our team thoroughly enjoyed their day and the cooking class experience! Can highly recommnend! Raffaela is a great host and such a kind person.Thanks for having us
