Honestly though, even with the bad rap given by social media, this school is amazing. I would send your child here just to prepare them for real life, not the rich or fancy schools that farm credits and teach the students nothing. Just a reminder, credit-farming is going to be impossible with the new NCEA systems, so those schools will be seeing major drops in academic areas. Seriously, Edgewater is the SAFE option at this point, where you know your child has a future.

Albany Senior High School
The school is very interesting, I will say that there is no dresscode whatsoever so if there's someone with a lot of cleavage showing, it's allowed. Teens cosplaying or dressed up as animals, also allowed. Going to school in PJs? Allowed, literally you can wear anything. The teachers are not bad but the guidance with education is alright, it's a hit or miss

St Margaret's College
Left wing and woke. We expected a traditional conservative Anglican school. What we got is far from the traditional values of the founders.Better than a state school for sure, but not worth the money. Good if your child is very sporty or gifted and likes to say a Maori word in every sentence. If that is not the case - just another girl in a big crowd.

I left my tablet in the music room of the school on Friday. I went to wait for the door to open at 8 o 'clock on Saturday morning. However, the merciless Indian female teacher was not allowed to go in and get it.
